Come and browse our bookshelves! RHC has a well-stocked library of spirituality and theology books, ranging from the academic to the popular, and from art to prayer to reference - and more. Take some time to draw inspiration for your own reading or a project, as we open up our two rooms for a quiet time with books.

The morning will be your own time to browse and read. We’ll have lunch about 1, then from 1.45 to 3 we’ll have conversation about anything we’ve enjoyed reading from the shelves or through what we’ve been inspired to read through Retreat House Chester.

Come for all or any of the time. If you’re here at lunchtime, please bring a packed lunch or have lunch in town. Tea and coffee will be available.
