Tuesday 22nd September 2026 - Heart open - spiritual review
An evening looking together at a variety of measures we might use to help us assess the wide range of aspects of our lives that we might broadly label “spiritual”.
The evening will be held at Mission House, Cornwall Street Chester, and will be led by Paul Towner. Starting at 7.30pm we will end by 9pm
Wednesday 23rd September 2026 - Labyrinth Open
A path of discipleship
Another afternoon at the Wesley church centre, St John Street, starting at 2pm, where Heather Walker will lead us through the richness that the labyrinth can bring to our meditation and prayer.
Wednesday 23rd September 2026 - Evening Prayer
Following our usual monthly pattern, based on the Northumbria Community prayers, and with time for corporate prayer and silence. This will be via a zoom link, and start at 6pm
Thursday 24th September 2026 - Mind Open - Passions of the soul
A morning, starting at 10.30am at the Quaker Centre, Frodsham Street, and led by Carole Burgess, looking together at the book “Passions of the soul” by Rowan Williams.
We hope those coming will have read the book to prepare themselves for this morning.
Friday 25th September 2026 - Heart Open - retreating to be present!
Led by our chairman Rob Croft, this will be an open session of conversations
The meeting will be at Wesley Church Chester, and start at 10.30am, ending by 12noon
Saturday 26th September 2026 - Life Open - Neurodiverse contemplation
We will be lead by Emma Speake, and meeting at the Quaker Meeting House, Chester - beginning at 10.30am and ending by 12noon.
