Pilgrimage Walk: Walking towards the Light

IMG_20150807_114608151_HDR (2).jpg

This event is offered on Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd, for you to choose your preferred day.   Please note that this walk is now FULLY BOOKED on both days.  We hope to offer similar walks again.

For our first event of 2018, one month after our new year’s resolutions, join us for a mini pilgrimage, the very last stage of the Two Saints Way, from Christleton to Chester Cathedral.  Just after Candlemas, on the Feast of St Werburgh, Chester's 'patron saint', and at the mid point of winter, half way between the Winter solstice and the Spring equinox, this guided walk, which will allow time for silent reflection, will give us time to think about where God shines light into our lives and any areas where we would like that light to shine more brightly.

Starting at Retreat House Chester (meet at 9 Abbey Square), we will take a public bus ride to Christleton and return, mostly along the canal, to the Cathedral.  The walk of less than 4 miles is easy, mostly along level ground with a few steps (which can be by-passed) and some slightly uneven ground.  Please wear comfortable shoes and feel confident to walk with a group.

meet at 9 Abbey Square at 10am (advance booking)

£8 (please bring your bus fare, too - £2 approx) You are welcome to bring a packed lunch to eat in Retreat House Chester at the end of the walk.
