At the start of our 2021 programme, 1st February is St. Brigid's feast day, in the Celtic calendar the first day of Spring, and in Christian tradition the eve of Candlemas when we welcome light. So as we stand on the threshold of Spring, the season of hope, join us for a reflective and creative workshop about the mysterious saint Brigid. We will enjoy some poetry, make a St Brigid's cross and learn a little about this kind-hearted saint, walking into Spring in friendship and hope.
You will need: an old magazine or 20 sheets of A4 paper, white or coloured; a pair of scissors; 4 small elastic bands or some string; a stapler if you have one, but not essential; a pen; and a candle if possible.
