Book Club

books2.jpg

A chance every couple of months to share responses to books with a spirituality theme, both classic and contemporary. Just come along when you like: every time, just once or somewhere inbetween!

In May, the invitation is to read ‘The Extra Mile: a 21st Century Pilgrimage’ by Peter Stanford. This ‘modern-day pilgrimage around some of the most ancient religious sites in Britain’ will take us to these sites while we stay at home - and when we gather (on Zoom) we’ll be able to talk about these pilgrimage places and others that we might know. A way to travel when travel is difficult, a way to get to know places in Britain, and a way to explore what pilgrimage might mean these days.

The hope is that you will have read your own copy of the book (or most of it!) before the session. Our Book Club sessions are lightly guided, to help us with sharing our responses.
