with Gillian Coxhead
In October, as nights lengthen, join us for an Autumn Soulful Saturday on well-loved Christian mystic John of the Cross, who explored in his experience and his writing what darkness might mean in relationship with a God of love and mystery – perhaps most famously in his ‘Dark Night of the Soul’. This day will guide us gently through an exploration of this for ourselves.
Gillian Coxhead lives in Lancashire, the mother of four sons and a nurse in A&E. Drawn to the Carmelite spirituality of John of the Cross and Teresa of Avila, and its resonance today, she leads retreats regularly in England and Ireland. We are so glad to welcome her back after previous retreats with us here in Chester.
