Experiencing God

Morning: The Question of Mindfulness for Christian Spiritual Tradition – with Shaun Lambert
Afternoon: Contemplation: two perspectives for today – with Ged Johnson and Gillian Coxhead

Retreat House Chester believes that ancient Christian spiritual wisdom has much to offer the modern quest for spirituality.  Contemplative practice is finding popularity today in many forms: this day will explore what that means.

Shaun Lambert is a Baptist minister and trained counsellor & psychotherapist, who is well-respected for his special interest in mindfulness, and regularly leads retreats.  Ged Johnson works at St Beuno’s Jesuit Spirituality Centre, nr St Asaph, working in Ignatian spirituality; he is also a trustee of Retreat House Chester. Gillian Coxhead is on the team at Tabor Carmelite Retreat House, Preston, and works widely on Carmelite spirituality, as well as being a nurse in a busy A&E department.
